When she finally does make like Lucy in the Sky, this black & white film flares up with color and what are the crazy acid visions that we’ve been waiting for? Why, more shots of Alice and her friends writhing around naked, of course! But with one them wearing some kind of Kabuki make-up this time.
A boring movie, despite the great title. Twenty solid minutes of this is a party scene where nude girls monotonously dry hump beefcake guys. Also, this is essentially a silent movie, which doesn’t help. The entire soundtrack is narration over a mix of lounge jazz music, jangly garage rock, and bluesy jams.
