Eating Raoul (1982)

Laugh-a-minute midnight movie classic. Director/co-writer/co-star Paul Bartel raised the money himself to make this comedy about a prudish couple struggling to raise the money to open up a restaurant. In real life, Bartel borrowed from friends and family. In the movie, he and long-legged Mary Woronov come up eating-raoul-1with a plot, inspired by their loathing for the swinger scene in their apartment building, in which they lure men into their home with the promise of sex and fetish games and then just kill them and take their cash. Crooked locksmith Robert Beltran eventually figures out their game and muscles his way in on the scheme. Beltran’s mostly interested in selling the dead bodies to a dog food company, but that doesn’t stop him from also sexing up Bartel’s wife.
