Fast-paced, neon-hued 80s fun. It’s the story of a high school kid who’s got a vampire living next door. Like so many characters in horror movies though, he’s got to go blabbing about his supernatural problem to everyone, which only makes his family, friends, and the police department think he’s nuttier than a Snickers bar. Desperate, he goes to the local UHF station’s late show horror host (the always great Roddy McDowell) for help. Entertaining flick, though there’s not much gore here. What little carnage we get are mostly melting vampires.
