Golfballs! (1999)

golfballsIt’s a tale as old as The Bible. Or at least as old as The Bikini Car Wash Company.

Yep, it’s that old story in which a failing business saves itself by hiring a bunch of hot girls to work there in skimpy outfits. This time it’s set on a golf course. Pretty soon, it’s the most popular place to tee up in town. The courses are packed, the bar is jumping, and everyone loves the topless cart washer girls. Naturally, a rival golf course tries to sabotage them. Wackiness ensues.

You get most of what you want from a late night cable TV golf comedy here: about 150 bikinis, about 134 pairs of short shorts, plenty of double-entendre about “balls”, Amy Lynn Baxter in various states of undress, a few guys who get hit in the nuts with golf clubs, a hot villainess in a Betty Page wig, and, of course, a dog who eats a whole box of laxatives.

Dim bulb humor. Not as funny or raunchy as it could be (shame on director Steve Procko for that big letdown of a catfight scene). For indiscriminate wee hours viewing only.
