High School Hellcats (1958)

Being the new girl in school ain’t easy. Sure, she could make friends by joining the Latin Club, but that wouldn’t make a very exciting American-International Pictures B-movie. Instead, she takes up with an all-girl gang called The Hellcats who smoke, drink, terrorize their teachers and have wild parties where sometimes someone dies.

It all adds up to some passable 50s juvenile delinquent fare that isn’t as cool as its title, but it has a moment or two. Most of those moments are the scenes with mean-eyed blonde Jana Lund as the surly leader of The Hellcats. Lund’s probably best known for appearing in Elvis Presley’s first two movies.
