Mulva: Zombie Ass Kicker! (2001)

Writer/director/dork Chris Seaver had about $37.50 to burn so he got his friends together again, picked up his video camera, and shot another movie in his nerdy house, with horror movie posters, toys, and comic books strewn through every room. The title of this is likely a parody of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but the character of Mulva is more Pee Wee Herman. She’s a lisp-voiced chocolate addict who goes out trick-or-treating on Halloween only to run into flesh-eating zombies. Scream queen Debbie Rochon’s appearance as creepy neighbor Lady McPouchsweat is a highlight.mulva

Gore, cartoon character acting, 80s pop culture references, hair metal wigs, Teen Ape, movie geek jokes, tasteless sex jokes, product placement parodies, mockeries of John Stamos and Bill Cosby—the usual fun stuff for fans of Seaver’s weird, trashy comedies is all here.

Incidentally, the DVD cover has nothing to do with the movie. On the cover, you get sexy goth siren Lilith Stabs. In the movie, Mulva is played by Missy Donatuti, a bird-faced nerd girl with her hair moussed straight up and chocolate syrup smeared around her mouth.
