One Body Too Many (1944)

The clumsy comic relief makes a mess of this standard issue old dark house flick. Another dead rich eccentric has left behind a will that requires his family to jump through hoops for his money. One of the requirements is to spend the night in his home, which is full of the usual secret passages. Meanwhile, a murderer lurks in the shadows (and can’t kill off these people fast enough, for my tastes). Jack Haley’s the bumbling, lily-livered insurance agent who gets mixed up in this. Somewhere in there is Bela Lugosi, given little to do as the butler.
