The Babysitter (1969)

In this entertaining black & white potboiler, a district attorney (George E. Carey) can’t get any action from his increasingly frosty wife so he starts filing his appeals into his sexy blond babysitter’s vagina. The babysitter’s name is Candy (Patricia Wymer, who looks like a kinkier Sandra Dee) and she looks great in and out of her little 60s miniskirt. This all works out well for a motorcycle gang looking to blackmail our adulterous attorney.babysitter

The director here is Tom “Billy Jack” Laughlin working under the pseudonym Don Henderson. One thing he likes to do a lot here is show us two totally contrasting scenes edited together in herky-jerky fashion. The movie starts with Candy out for an innocent stroll that’s intercut with scenes of motorcycles and murder. Later, we get the attorney and his wife enduring a dull dinner party that Laughlin interrupts, off and on, with flashes of the much more swingin’ party that Candy’s secretly throwing miles away in their basement with weed, acid rock, and naked dancing girls.
