The Black Room (1935)

Second-rate gothic horror tale most notable for Boris Karlof’s dual role as twin brothers. One is a tyrannical baron, the other is a darn nice guy. One speaks with an evil rasp, the other is as fey as a slap fight at a fashion show. One carries himself like Mick Jagger, the other carries himself like Noel Coward. The evil brother is about to get ousted from power by an angry band of peasants. Of course, he sets his innocent brother up for a fall in his place.
