One of the greatest gross-out punk rock zombie horror-comedies ever and a real crowd-pleaser for audiences who are up for a brain-eating, blood-spraying barf-o-rama. It’s fast-paced fun with fast-paced zombies. The undead here can also talk, operate equipment, and make clever plans, and unlike the classic Romero zombie, the only way to stop these flesh-eaters—actually, brain-eaters—is to BURN them down to ashes.
Lots of great gore here. This is also easily the most iconic zombie film ever after the original Night of the Living Dead, with the most famous moment being skinny li’l scream queen Linnea Quigley dancing naked in a cemetary. In the VHS days, rental tapes of this movie famously got a little “fuzzy” during this scene from people overplaying it.
