Cesar Romero turns on his suave Cuban allure for his lead role here as a London club owner who gets mixed up in a murder, but this minor league British film noir never really works out. The story plods like the slowest check-out lane at the supermarket, with the most interesting thing here being the stark photography that dumps pitch black shadows on darn near everything in some scenes.
